About The Direct Help Foundation

Mission Statement

To provide basic humanitarian help to Ukrainian people displaced as a result of the current military conflict.

The goals we pursue

Direct Help Foundation is a non-profit organization, dedicated to addressing the ongoing humanitarian and healthcare crisis in Ukraine. Our main goal is to provide basic humanitarian help to Ukrainian people displaced as a result of the current military conflict. As such, our priorities are helping orphaned and refugee children, displaced, sick and wounded people, and supporting medical first aid and rehab facilities in the Eastern Ukraine.

In this effort, we focus on various forms of fundraising and solicitation of support within local community and beyond, as well as on supporting projects that provide emergency aid and seek to help the internally displaced people to survive harsh conditions of refugee camps through distribution of food, clothing, warm blankets, basic everyday items, first-aid and hygiene medical supplies and such.

Our objectives

Our specific objectives are to:
(a) Assist internally displaced people of Ukraine in the provision of medicine and supplies for basic health care services and through financial support.
(b) Support other projects that strive to help internally displaced people of Ukraine to survive harsh conditions and improve quality of their life at the refugee camps.
(c) Align with other organizations responding to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
(d) Advocate for the well-being of the people of Ukraine.

We aim to operate with minimal overhead. Our core team has been working on a volunteer basis since the charity’s inception. We are also grateful for the support given to us by other volunteer contributors over the past years.
We exercise due care when choosing which projects we support. We follow up in order to try to ensure that the funds are spent efficiently and as intended.
